Cookie Compliments & Brownie Points

I can't wait to try out the "Brownie Points" reward system with my class next year!  For the past three years I've done a compliment jar, but this sounds like WAY more fun!  I've seen MANY versions of this on Pinterest.  I also stumbled upon Rachelle's "Mystery Envelope" idea from What the Teacher Wants and incorporated that into mine as well.   Just for something different, I came up with the idea of Cookie Compliments that can be used as an alternative.  Below is a picture of my brownie pan and a download that includes cookies, brownies, a Mystery Envelope cover page, and rewards!

  13. Just wanted to say that you're incredibly creative and I love what you've come up with. I teach adults and although some of the teaching charts, etc. may not apply to them, I still think they're amazing!! I wouldn't mind seeing all these graphics and charts in my class any day!!

  14. Thank you SO much for the printable - I've been searching everywhere for a great one and this is perfect... I do have a question - do you have 2 cookie sheets next to each other and do brownies for great working environment and cookies for random school-wide compliments?

  18. Just wanted to let you know I implemented the Brownie Points and Cookie Compliments this year with my kids. It went over really well - though I realized I needed to loosen up and reward more often, lol. I adapted it so that teams of students (I have 4 teams in my class at all times)could earn Brownie Points. Teams change every four weeks and it was hard to get them to earn enough brownies before the change! Each team had their own pan. The Cookie Compliments (only one pan) was used as a whole class reward. So every time the whole class blew me away or were noticed for being "with it", they earned a cookie on the pan. The kids really liked earning for team versus class - and it's much more visual than marbles. Thank you!

    1. That's wonderful! I'm so glad you and your class were able to use it this year! My kids really loved it too! :) I like how you split the class into teams. I may have to give this a try next year!
